Sciescent

As people committed to our faith and our diverse Church communities, we already live by the moral standards of the Churches we attend.  But our faith isn't limited by the walls of our Church or the essential moral messages we learn on a Sunday mornings.  Our Sciescent Faith takes us well beyond Sundays and into the important details of how we face life's complex challenges.  Three things are required to become a Sciescent Faith Community member. We must first explore key issues with the intensity expected from our God. We are then required to embrace the truth that is reveled. And finally, we are expected to stand firm in applying God's logical truths to our lives.

God's logical truths are obvious when you seek His will.  In the beginning, God perfectly designed the universe and our world to support humanity. And for millennia, humanity survived. In the beginning, God perfectly designed our bodies and every system within it to insure our survival.  And for many eras, individual lives were measured in centuries, not decades. But today, our life choices foolishly disregard the original design at our peril and assume we can manipulate that design without unintended consequences.  We blindly accept popular lies coming from a place of perceived authority as truth.  But our tolerance of those lies ends here and now.

Sciescent Faith Community believers have chosen to understand and embrace the truth of each Sciescent Faith Statement. We are then unwavering in our commitment to these universal, logical truths, and we actively share our beliefs with others. If we cannot commit fully, then we accept that there is no place for us here and we will not be allowed to burden the Faith Community with our presence. And if at any time, our Church community takes a stand in opposition to any Sciescent Faith Statement, we will denounce our Church's position - in writing - as antithetical to the truth, even if we continue to attend that Church.

These are non-negotiable

We are a creation of the Creator: Before the creation of Time, Space and Matter, there was something not bound by Time, Space or Matter. A Creator. Our God. We attest to our faith in God, the Creator.

God is an Intelligent Designer

Our body is a perfectly designed system to survive in our environment and should not need anything artificial to exist. We make decisions (knowingly and unknowingly) that damage our bodies, but we are committed to avoiding those intentional acts and becoming more aware of our unintentional acts.

Known Risks

We are intelligent being and capable of knowing exactly how the world operates. In the past we knew a little, today we understand a lot, and in the future we will understand more. We will strive daily to better understand our world so we are not tricked by lies and deceit. 

Conservative Risk Avoidance

We are logically (not politically) 'conservative'. We choose to conserve that which has proven to be good over time before we embrace the next new thing, which may or may not prove to be good now or in the future. We approach change with healthy skepticism and use faith, logic and reason to come to the truth.
